some karasuno smartphone hcs i’ve been thinking abt lately:

• daichi texts like a dad, sometimes he just writes ‘k’ or ‘y’ (does he mean ‘why’?? does he mean ‘yes’?? who can say) also overuses ellipses w/o thinking they might be misleading, e.g. group texts karasuno: ‘meeting @ 6… see you there…’ it totally freaked hinata out the first time and even though he’s used to it now he still sometimes texts suga to make sure everything is okay
  
• suga is really good at words with friends/really any word-based game, it’s gotten to the point where daichi won’t play with him anymore bc he knows 100% that he’s going to lose
  
• tanaka and noya are really good at draw something not bc they draw well (bc they don’t) but bc they use a lot of inside jokes to help each other w/ the answer - one time suga was watching tanaka play and asked him how he got the answer from a drawing that was completely unrelated and tanaka tried to explain the origin of the joke but ended up cracking up halfway through and telling the rest of the story through tears and laughter while suga stared blankly and yeah suga just doesn’t ask anymore
  
• asahi has a meditating app on his phone
  
• the only person tsukki regularly texts is yamaguchi. even when he gets a group text abt vball or smth important going on with the team, he almost never replies unless it’s to say he can’t make it. he has a total of six unread text messages (5 from hinata and 1 from kageyama) that he will probs never look at lmao
  
• tsukishima mostly uses his phone for listening to music bc he’s found that ppl bother him less often when his headphones are on. it’s p much impossible to hear what he’s listening to so there’s a running bet amongst the karasuno 3rd and 2nd years regarding what he listens to (tanaka and noya are sure he’s listening to girl bands, a small part of daichi thinks it’s death metal, and ennoshita thinks classical music - they’re all wrong)
  
• yamaguchi’s most used apps are his messenger (to text tsukki), his browser (to read up on vball tips and watch technique videos on jump float serving), and a vball game that he’s convinced has helped his hand-eye coordination
  
• kageyama’s phone still has the default wallpaper and his photo library has nothing but the photos that came with the phone and six progressively blurrier pictures of his face from when he tried to take a picture of the tokyo gymnasium and didn’t know how to switch back from the front camera
  
• conversely, hinata’s phone storage is almost exclusively filled by photos of absolutely everything
  
• hinata’s wallpaper is a photo he took after the practice match vs nekoma. it’s a bit blurry and there’s a glare from the sun but it’s the best group selfie he’s ever taken where almost everyone is smiling (kageyama and tsukki aren’t but they’re looking at the camera so) also he’s p sure that the red sleeve in t he left corner is kenma’s arm so it’s a photo that all of his friends are in
